Toshiba Computer Problems

Just like the title says, I had problems with my Toshiba. I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757 with Vista. The problem started a couple of days ago when my computer screen started turning off at the start of the windows boot. It will show a vista boot screen, like the following image:

Then the monitor goes blank, not matter what I did (of course I didn’t start playing baseball with it). So I tried to change the boot order of it, but turns out, this model of toshiba does not allow you to change the boot order. So what happens is you change the boot order in the bios, but then the machine ignores you. The bios is just there for the looks. You can try and boot from safe mode, which I tried, but it got stuck on the crcdisk.sys. Now how annoying is that? You can’t get to the windows nor the safe mode, and your bios is retarded. Next thing I did then, after hours of searching the online (done mostly by my boyfriend <3), I realize, you can’t do much because in order to make bios really worth something on this toshiba, you need some network license key which allows you to change the boot order and make your machine listen to you.

Well, I got extremely frustrated at one point, booted to the safe mode, and when it got stuck on the crcdisk.sys, I started pressing key combos like ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+esc, F1-F12 over and over, and somehow, I got into my safe mode. That right there my friends is the beauty of our technologies. Hitting machines still make it work!

Two weekend’s update

I know I haven’t posted much since two weeks ago, or many a bit longer than two weeks ago. I started actually doing some work since last week or so designing logos and websites. So today, I’m going to post a lot of the things that I did over the course of last two weeks (minus the designs).

I drew Rocky in his formal attire.

Hopefully, you can see the difference.

I have to say I wasn’t very happy with my drawing for a little while. I felt like there was something wrong or something missing. I kept twitling around with little things, and drew this next picture. It’s not that great now that I look back at it.

Well… first off, I never finished this picture. Kidd is supposed to have beer in his hand, but it looks like a soda now. Pchat broke on me just when I was about to wrap up and start putting in more details. After this, I went to hang out with Tete and Panda, where I drew Panda’s character 3 times around her own rendition of her character.

I drew every thing except the bottom left. Yes, I drew bottom right, I know, it’s completely differetn from my regular style… But I can do it!

And this next picture probably was done two weeks ago, but I haven’t posted since I drew it. I’m not a big fan of drawing Inu Yasha fan arts, but Leaf is an Inutard (she makes a point to tell me everytime she does anything Inu yasha related). One day, she and I were in draw with me room, and she started drawing Inu Yasha, so I decided to make that an Inu Yasha drawing event. There was 4 different picures of Inu Yasha on the board I believe…

One of my biggest problems is that I love drawing big on pchats. Someone actually made a point to complain to me about that. That is so sad I think. My screen (26″) is so big compared to theirs, I just end up drawing really big unintentionally. I forget how “small” others draw.

Well, aside from that, I wanted to create some “pchat” oc’s so I can rp with others without worrying about storylines for characters. So I decided to make 4 based on the Korean 4 gods legend (Chung Ryong, Baek Ho, Jujak, and Hyun Moo). This was my first rendition of Jujak, I hate it.

On the contrary, this Saturday, Becca and I drew an awesome collab together! This picture is our best collaboration ever!

Becca drew the background to the left and to the bottom, grandpa, and Ren(in the bi plane).

I laid the basic concept, drew most of the bi plane, and Kidd to the right, and the little bit of bg right bottom.

;-; I was so hyper by the end of this collab. Man I was so hyper…. soo…. hyper….. Becca and Tete could tell you all about it…

This next is the series of screen caps Becca took of our progress:

We started talking at 9 PM. For the first time, we 1. were awake at the same time, 2. had free time, 3. had very good sleep, 4. were in great mood, and 5. were inspired all at the same time. +o+ It was so awesome. Well, we started talking at 9 PM, and started drawing around 9:30 PM. But we ended at 5:00AM. What about that eh? What are the chances that she and I almost always end up sleeping around 3 in the morning or past that? Like 4 out of 5 times we meet, so around 80% of the time. Maybe more… let’s just say 9 out of 10, that looks like a prettier number to deal with.

So I went to sleep around 5 AM, and I woke up the next day at 4 PM OTL

That night Becca and I did a head angle session, which ended up being drawing each other’s characters and drawing bunch of different characters.

I love how clean rocky came out. I should draw with thicker pen more often.

Very unproductive weekend

I had a very unproductive week and weekend last week. The whole week was kind of disappointing and sad. Damn, I got such a long way to go =D=
Well, with persistence, I hope to get over this depressing time soon. So events that stood out the most this last week…..

1. I drew Pcat’s OC, Laur

3. K pride
I finally got my views over 8881, and have been drawing a picture for the kiriban.

I drew it and inked it, but became rather depressed about my drawings. It’s that time of the month I guess, where I see the improved version of my drawings, but can’t draw it yet. It’s very, very, very depressing. Especially because I know where I want to be. So I made a note to myself to go see more of other people’s art.

Any ways, more about the drawing at hand, it’s K pride because my oc Kidd is Korean, or at least half, haven’t decided yet, and her, OrangeTenshi’s, OC Byul is also Korean. So I decided to draw them showing K pride. I’m probably going to redraw this picture. =D= I’m so disappointed in myself.

Could be done much, much better.

4. Cobra Dragon
AHAHAHA, I know what you’re thinking… or at least what I think you could be thinking, let me know if this is wrong. You’re thinking, what in the world is going on in your head to come up with such bizarre creature? Well, this little (understatement of the year) creature is really an oversized reptile that eats anything smaller than it. It’s basically a venomous giant boa constrictor with a dragon’s head with cobra’s hood. A baby cobra dragon is 15 feet long. 8D Isn’t that great? I think it is. One day, I’ll be able to draw much more menacing monsters. Wait for it.

5. Candy cane man Jr. and the (green) white rabbit
Now why the white rabbit is green is beyond me. It’s the color I chose to draw, then ended up shading in. I was so focused on getting the shading correctly, I didn’t realise just how “green” the white rabbit was. Now that I look at it, he could be the Green Giant’s little cousin or something. XD I started drawing next to tete’s candy cane man “JR.” WTF, I wanted to see the candy cane man! D:<

So here it is, for my birthday, to all those who care!, I would like your own rendition of the "Candy Cane man"!

6. Kidd is a big, big dude
I seriously am in need of improvement in my drawing style. I need improvement so much I am becoming more frustrated by the minute. What frustrates me even more is, I can’t color. I feel like I’m color blind(not literally). Well this picture is a good example of my frustration. I am not able to keep my style steady enough lately to draw Kidd, or even Avery, the same any more. It’s rather… frustrating. Well, aside from that, i just realized how “BIG” Kidd is. I’ve always said to others Kidd is 6′3″ 200 lbs or more, but never quite realised how big one has to be under those circumstances, until yesterday, when I drew Kidd and Avery side by side. Avery is about my height and weight, so compared to her, Kidd is QUITE LARGE. I mean DAMN. It hit me hard yesterday. D:

Aside from that fact, I think I really need to work on my style =D= this picture is so crappy… Kidd and Avery don’t look much like themselves. -headdesk- Such a failure!-drowns-

7. BarrackObama
ROFL, you’re probably wonder what does the president of the United States have anything to do with my weekend? Well, he doesn’t. But yesterday, sevenLZ made an account at Niko’s as BarrackObama, and wrote a program that drew a jpeg picture pixel by pixel, and started painting a picture of Barrack Obama. AHAHAHA. If it were faster, it would’ve been great, but it’s soooo fucking slooooooow. You’d have to wait a million years to see it done. =d=

Weekend Pchat 2

It’s the second round of Weekend PCHAT! [insert random drum roll here]
I was having so much fun this weekend because I actually got paid! OMG I got paid. So I celebrated by going out to eat by myself at the drive thru to McDonalds, yay! I also bought a pack of sketch pencils, which are really nice. I haven’t used them yet because I found an unopened box of Faber-Castell sketch pencils, what a suprise? I must’ve bought them while I was in highschool or something. I went on pchat because Kuea came back from her aunt’s place! She also had a headset, so I got to talk to her! It were awesome.

Man, I love that picture so much. I think it’s a great portrayal of Kidd’s character. He’s a very lighthearted, funny, and silly individual. On the otherside, he’s also very lazy. Like Becca said, this is a very cute picture of him.

Also very unrelated to these drawings, I created an Asian fushion food! I call it the Riceghetti! Basically, I was trying to make spaghetti, cooked meatball and diced tomatoes, but realized very late that the ragu was bad. So instead of wasting it, I decided to try something new. So I put some ketchup into the pan to make whatever was in the pan less watery, put more garlic powder, paprika, and basil into the pan. Then after a little bit, I put in some Hot Thai chilli pepper sauce. The sauce tasted pretty good, but probably not very edible by itself, so I put rice into it. Surprisingly it tasted pretty good. Well, that’s my shpill for today.

Eeeeeh……….

Not quite happy, not quite sad, not quite anything really. Just feel like dragging on with life.

It was fun collabing with Becca yesterday.That was uplifting until I screwed up on the lineart. -sigh-

Kidd dressed up like the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow and Ren dressed up as Will Turner(a tad bit vertically challenged). I fucked up on the right hand. I am so angry. :S

Fourth of July 2009 Weekend Art stuff

Before the Fourth of July was horrific for me. Everything just went down the drain, but starting that Thursday, things started picking up. I got to ride with SevenLZ for 5/6 hours as we drove down(for SevenLZ, back down) to South Carolina, to his parent’s place. They have like 4 acres of land there. We talked about lots of random things, and it was just good leaving Atlanta for a change. It was a lot of fun all in all. I got to set off some fire crackers, they made loud noises that scared me. It got better as the time went on, but the noise…. -o-;

Well, the whole weekend was great, I got to do some artsy stuff too.

I did all the paper work using mechanical pencil, which wasn’t fun. I was complaining the whole time. XD oops… I should really get some good pencils…. when I get the money to spend on stuff like that.

Rocky and his crazy hair

I originally drew Rocky with a faux hawk, but that quickly changed the more SevenLZ and I talked. We decided mohawk was the way to go for this character.

This next picture is of Lein, one of my characters from an old story of mine called Eria. It’s a wonder I’m still working on this story. This character has come a long way since his creation, and went through more changes the following day, when I decided his design wasn’t going to suffice.

One of the best parts about being with SevenLZ is the kind of absurdity he suggests for me to draw. One of those is silly faces. I love his silly faces, so I decided why not give my characters more life and personality, and give them silly faces. No one, at all times, maintain a straight unemotional face.

One of the things that changed as a result of this “consulation” of characters was how silly Kidd really is. He is a very silly, yet kick ass character. Every comic’s gotta have a kickass main character!

Cool thing about having characters that make silly faces is, it can be used in variety of situations to create viewer reaction. I really enjoyed making this look on Kidd.

Oh yes, I did not pchat while I was down in SC, but as soong as I was back up in GA, pchat it is. I enjoyed doing this one especially after all the artsy pep talk between sevenLZ and myself. This has to be one of my all time favorites of Kidd.

Then I did my first meme. It was a meme of styles, I saw Leaf had posted hers, so I decided, why the hell not, and tried it. I think it turned out really well for it just being sketches. I really didn’t want to put energy I didn’t have into finalizing it. Iwas exhausted from 5/6 hour drive back to Atlanta by that point.

The last one, in the another artists’s style, is done in Niaro’s style.

Last but not least, before I passed out at the most awkward time in the world(but the usual time for Becca and me) 3 am, I went on pchat after seeing Becca’s amazing pchat work. I was so inspired I had to go try something, except I never really did it. I realized I was extremely tired. X.x

So I started drawing Rocky, in hopes that I would make him look different from Kidd. I hope I did.

I love his facial expression, I think my next goal is to give him much more ridiculous look. I didn’t have enough energy to go through with this and finish it, maybe if sevenLZ were there I might’ve… but he was probably exhausted from driving me up to Atlanta and driving himself back chased by tornadoes.

Last but not least, Kidd and his sister, Rina. I gotta love how Asian she looks compared to Kidd. For an Asian (Korean), he’s not very Asian looking.

For those of you who can’t read my doctor’s handwriting (not that I’m a doctor), Kidd says “You’re gonna hurt my feelings.” To which his younger sister retorts, “Too bad, you’re such a loser, oppa.” And for those of you who do not know what “oppa” means, it means older brother in Korean.

Now you may ask, why Korean? Well that’s because I’m Korean. I think that’s a pretty good reason.

Pissed off

I was so pissed off yesterday, I thought I was gonna explode! By the time I came home I was exhausted. And then some people helped me cheer up (mainly Kuea, Becca, and Leaf – Thanks guys!).

I put more details into the regular style after this cap. Originally I wasn’t going to cap the pic, but then I capped Leaf’s comic, and since my screen is big enough to cap the comic and this pic, I just decided to seperate it. And so here it is~

Leaf drew this comic cause she felt like drawing a comic. And I told her something about someone spray painting someone else blue, I think I said make Kidd spray paint Ty blue, and so she drew this. This comic made me feel so much better.

The girl is Nina, Ty’s girl friend.

Hot women with guns

ROFL, you may wonder, what does an Asian girl know about hot women? Well, apparently a lot. And apparently, I draw them sexy, despite the fact that I spend marginal amounts of time drawing them. Obviously as a woman, I prefer drawing men (pffft/rofl/lol/lmao). Anyways, this is one of my very few female characters, Avery. Avery is an explosives expert and a heavy weaponry expert. She is also, as sevenLZ puts it, an epic level boobstress.

This was my sketch, and I went on and fixed the sketch up more, but not much more than this. I’ll post it, but the idea here is that this is my first time drawing this character. For very odd reason, I can draw women just fine, there’s nothing hard about them… Men… on the other hand…. so…. difficult…. -headdesk-

Well about the above picture, the picture on the left is done by Leaf (Rayanna), and right, by me. The idea was to draw Kidd’s girlfriend. I think I captured her essence, MWAHAHAHAHA.

The final output of my work. I was so exhausted from the day (8 hour work + 1 hour meeting right afterwards, really got me tired) that I really didn’t want to refine it more, or do more work on it, also it was on pchat. There is no way I’m going to ink a picture that exhausted and on pchat.
Even though there’s flaw in the picture, I still think it came out good for first try. Hopefully I will go on refining this character more.

And on a totally unrelated theme to the title, because I feel random, I was messing with pchat’s pen pressure settings. There’s a size option (for those of you who never realized or used it). It’s pretty damn cool. Only if you wanna write Chinese characters, in my opinion. But it’s also useful if you want to get more heavy line work into your art. I messed up bad when I was drawing this next pic. I should’ve let there be some white between the line bordering Kidd’s cheek and the black background.

This picture looks really funny to me now that I look at it more awake. Wow, I can’t stop laughing… so bad…..

Oh and very random thing, I really ought to start signing stuff I make. I keep forgetting to do so cause i’m not used to showing it to people I don’t know… It’s probably a safe practice anyways.
